Michael Meehan and Sean Armstrong may be fit for Galway’s opening Connaught Championship tie with Roscommon on May 20th.
The Galway football team has received a big boost with the news that Michael Meehan and Sean Armstrong are recovering from injury. Both players may be fit for their opening clash of the Connaught Championship against Roscommon. Meehan has been out of action for the tribesmen since last July after picking up an ankle injury in the All Ireland qualifier against Meath. However, the Caltra club man came on as a second half substitute in a challenge match against Laois last week end and looks to be over the worst of his injury problems.
Armstrong started this match after been out of action since March following a leg injury. Galway have had a strong league campaign and will be hoping the return of these two players will help boost their chances of a Connaught Championship title that kicks off against the Rossies in three weeks time.
