Sunderland v Manchester United team news

Sunderland will be missing full-back Kieran Richardson and midfielder Sebastian Larsson due to hernia operations. Martin O Neill will hope that he can end his first season with the Black Cats with a win. Wes Brown has returned from a knee injury but he will not be part of the Sunderland squad which includes three former Man Utd players.

De Gea; Jones,Ferdinand, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Young; Rooney.

Alex Ferguson will be without Chris Smalling and Danny Welbeck for the game. Smalling’s injury has ruled him out for Euro 2012 and he is set for an operation on his groin over the summer. Phil Jones is set to start centre half as United look for the win that would allow them to retain the title if Manchester City fail to beat QPR.
