Shane O’Sullivan will not be available for the Waterford Senior Hurling team this summer as the player has decided to leave the country.
Shane O’Sullivan has decided to “go away” for the summer after just completing his course in college according to Waterford Manager Michael Ryan. The Ballygunnar clubman has cemented his place in the first team over the past four seasons and is a regular starter for the Deise.
He has been a driving force in midfield for the side over the past few years and this season O’Sullivan has shown his versatility as a player by playing in the half back and half forward positions.
“It looks like Shane is going to go away for the summer” said Ryan.
“He just finished college and I spoke to him the other night and he feels he needs to go away. I understand that and he will be a big loss for us.”
