This Sunday Alan Mulholland takes his Galway side to Dr Hyde Park for his first taste of championship football.
Alan’s day job sees him working in the family business, John Mulholland Bookmakers, where pricing up the GAA championships (both local and intercounty) is all part of a day’s work.
Despite pleas from within Alan has refused to get involved in pricing up Galway’s chances but that hasn’t stopped brother Eddie interrogating him at every opportunity. “Alan is not comfortable with me making Galway 1/2 favourites against Roscommon (2/1) but I wouldn’t be comfortable losing a small fortune by underestimating my County no
matter how much Alan tries to downplay his chances” said Eddie
“Alan has a real tough campaign ahead having come out on the wrong side of the draw for the Connacht Championship. Galway are seen as underdogs to win Connacht at 5/2, having to beat Roscommon(10/1), Sligo (8/1) & Mayo (8/13) to lift their first title since 2008″
