Another soccer star pleads guilty

Jermaine Pennant has pleaded guilty to drink driving while already being disqualified from driving

Pennant has pleaded guilty to drink driving at the Manchester Criminal Court. Pennant was already disqualified from driving for totting up too many points on his license. The player has stated he was dumped by his girlfriend by text message and expressed how he became depressed and stressed. This caused him to go drinking in a nearby night club and he was twice the legal limit when the crash occurred.

Pennant’s BMW collided with an Audi in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 29, near his luxury mansion in Hale, Cheshire. The driver of the Audi was taken to hospital with minor injuries on the night of the accident while Pennant escaped injury free. The 29 year old Stoke City player is expected to be sentenced later today.
