Mahamadou Diarra has agreed a new one year contract extension at the Cottagers
The Malian joined Fulham in January until the end of this season after he had not played for any other club since leaving Monaco last summer. The initial deal which was signed in January included a clause which would allow the player to extend his contracted for another year if he so wished. Fulham have today confirmed that this clause has now been activated keeping the player in the Premier League for next season.
Diarra made 11 appearances for Fulham last season helping the side finish ninth in the league. He impressed manager Martin Jol as he played a holding role in midfield only scoring one goal against Bolton in April.
The 30 year old once cost a reported £22million, has won four French and two Spanish titles during an already illustrious career.
