Does anybody want to be the next Liverpool manager?

Updated: May 21, 2012

After Kenny Dalglish was relieved of his post at Liverpool a whirlwind of names began to swell including, Brendan Rodgers of Swansea, Pep Guardiola of Barcelona, Roberto Martinez of Wigan Athletic, former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas, Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp, former manager Rafael Benitez and Ajax boss Ronal de Boer.

It’s safe to say Liverpool have a ‘short’ list of managers ready. However an approach for Brendan Rodgers was swiftly rejected by the Swansea man, a move for Pep Guardiola was just as quickly quashed. Jurgen Klopp was the next man to reject the job and opt to stay with current club Dortmund. Then followed Ronald de Boer removing himself from the equation.

So who will be the next Liverpool manager? Is it the job nobody wants? Only time will tell who will get the Liverpool job although bookies favourites for the role are currently Andre Villas-Boas and Roberto Martinez.
