Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has received a number of fitness boosts ahead of this Saturday’s friendly with Bosnia and more importantly the upcoming European Championship next month.
Robbie Keane, who had emerged as a concern over the weekend following a hamstring scare, completed a full training session with the team 24 hours after his arrival from LA.
The Galaxy striker was joined in training by Shane Long, Keith Andrews and Jon Walters with all four in contention to feature on Saturday.
Shay Given and his Aston Villa team mate Richard Dunne will continue to rest knee and abdominal injuries but both are expected to be fit for the Euro’s as is John O’Shea as he continues to nurse an ankle injury.
Keith Fahey is making a good recovery from a groin strain and will be fit for Saturday however it is touch and go as to whether Kevin Foley will have recovered form his hamstring injury in time.
