Carlsberg and Irish fans unveil the largest ever flag to appear at a football game in the Aviva Stadium

Republic of Ireland stars Kevin Doyle, Stephen Kelly and Sean St Ledger thank fans for ‘Joining the Green Army’ and uploading their pictures to the massive 24m (82ft) X 10m (33ft) flag.

24th May 2012: Carlsberg, official beer to the Irish football team and UEFA Euro 2012TM, will unveil the largest ever flag to appear at a football game in the Aviva Stadium when Giovanni Trapattoni’s side face Bosnia this afternoon. The flag, measuring a massive25m (82ft) X 10m (33ft), contains thousands of supporters’ faces who uploaded their pictures to the Carlsberg Ireland Football Facebook page(www.facebook.com/carlsbergfootball) and will be unveiled by Irish supporters club, You Boys in Green.

Ireland’s Euro 2012 stars Kevin Doyle, Sean St. Ledger and Stephen Kelly, pictured here with a 6m (20ft) X 3m (10ft) replica of the flag – a third of the size of theactual flag that will be unveiled on Saturday – thanked Irish fans for showing their support for the team by uploading their pictures.

Fans can still Join the Green Army throughout the tournament for a chance to win even more great prizes including UEFA Euro 2012TM goodies.
