Wexford’s Doyle and Shore set to miss Longford match

Updated: May 31, 2012

Jason Ryan will have to plan without Aindreas Doyle and Andrew Shore for Sunday’s Leinster Senior Football Championship quarter-final tie against Longford.

Shore is out with knee and ankle injuries which he sustained in training. It is likely that Shore will be side-lined for up to six weeks with both injuries. Doyle picked up a hamstring injury while playing for his club Parnell’s in the Dublin Senior Football Championship.

It is now likely that Robert Tierney will replace Doyle at corner-back and Rory Quinlivan will be the favourite to replace Shore at midfield.

Paddy Byrne is also a doubt for the game after the forward sustained a knee injury in a recent challenge game against Fermanagh.
