Carlow’s starting fifteen for Sunday’s encounter with Meath has been announced with two members of the Under-21’s making the side.
Darragh Foley and Conor Lawlor will start at midfield and full-back respectively. Shane Redmond has been named as captain with his side looking to Daniel St. Ledger, JJ Smith and Sean Gannon to provide the firepower.
After a turbulent spring which saw demotion to Division 3 of the league and indecision over the position of manager, Seamus McEnaney, Meath finally seem to have gotten their act together.
Meath came through their opening match against Wicklow relatively easily and with something to spare and will be looking to put the last six months behind them.
There are no added injury problems for “Banty” and there may even be the possibility of a return to action for selector Graham Geraghty should Meath progress into the later stages of the championship.
For a team supposedly in “turmoil”, Meath are still a dangerous proposition and will be fancied to progress if they can keep it together.
