The respected organisation have given Frankel a rating of 147 after his eleven length hammering of Excelebration which saw the son of Galileo extend his unbeaten run to eleven wins from eleven starts.

In awarding a rating of 147, Frankel is now rated higher then the likes of Sea Bird, Brigadier Gerard, Tudor Minstrel, Mill Reef Dancing Brave, Dubai Millennium, Sea The Stars, Shergar and Vaguely Noble.

Speaking about the rating David Johnson, Timeform’s Flat Editor, commented “The facts are that Frankel’s performance is likely to surpass anything witnessed in Timeform’s 64-year history.

“To give some perspective on just how phenomenal this effort was, in provisionally rating Frankel 147, we still have Excelebration (runner-up) running more than a stone below his previous best (133). A point worth emphasising is the consistency with which Frankel has produced such performances. This is the fifth time that he has produced a 140+ rating.”
