According to Footylatest.com, Liverpool are prepared to pay €8 million euro for the Ivory Coast International.
The 6ft 8”Traore is currently on the books of Russian side Kuban Krasnodar and only joined the club last summer.
New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on the 22 year old and despite the player having four years left on his deal is determined to push through a deal.
Traore has yet to capped at full international level but has experience of playing in the Champions League from his spell with Romanian side Cluj.
Traore began his career in his homeland with Stade D’Abigjan before making the move to Romania in 2008. He helped the club to the Romanian title and cup before sealing a €6 million move to Russia.
Last season he scored 15 goals for Dan Petrescu’s side.
