Diego Forlan might be about to start his second stint in the Premier League as Tottenham Hotspur according to the Metro, Spurs are thought to be sizing up a bid for the Inter Milan striker. Last summer the Uruguay striker moved to Inter but has not been able to find any form and has scored only twice in 14 appearances as Inter ended a disappointing campaign in sixth place.
New Inter coach, Andrea Stramaccioni is keen to revamp his squad and is thought to be willing to let Forlan, 33, leave for a reasonable price. He is known to be a long term target for Spurs who are looking to sign a world class striker this summer and could be tempted to make a bid for the player despite his age.
Forlan played for Manchester United between 2001-2004 during a low key spell before dazzling spells at Villareal and Atletico Madrid. He became one of Europe’s top goal scorers winning the Golden Ball at the 2010 World Cup as the player of the tournament winning the Copa America the following year with Uruguay.
