Hungary and Romania to kick off Dublin Cup

The long awaited Dublin Cup begins today at the National Aquatic Centre, showcasing some of the worlds top Olympic teams here in Ireland prior to London 2012.

First up are the Current Olympic champions Hungary who take on Romania this evening at 17.30, followed by Croatia vs Montenegro. The action continues throughout Friday with matches morning and evening, as well as over the weekend, concluding with Hungary vs Croatia at 15.30 on Sunday. (A full schedule can be seen overleaf)

The Dublin Cup are delighted to announce that the event, which is being run by the Irish Water Polo Association (IWPA) in conjunction with Swim Ireland, will be further supported by Failte Ireland. This is seen as a major boost for the tournament that is expected to bring in many overseas visitors between teams, management and supporters

Tickets for the event are available from the event website –  Ticket prices range from €4.50 for a child’s ticket, to €90 for a 4 day pass, with €25 for a day pass.
