Semple Stadium will play host to a thrilling afternoon of GAA action on Saturday with a triple header of games set for Thurles.
After this morning’s phase three qualifier draw pitted Cork against Wexford and Limerick against Clare the GAA have decided to stage both games at the iconic venue. The Tipperary footballers were due to take on Wexford on Saturday so that round two qualifier match has been added to the bill.
The football match will get a mouthwatering afternoon’s proceedings underway at 3pm and the first of the exciting hurling matches will throw in at 5pm. The clash of neighbours Limerick and Clare has been scheduled for a 7pm start.
The Limerick footballers are away to Longford on Saturday and the tie at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park has been brought forward to 2pm to give any Limerick supporters who wish to attend both the football and hurling matches an opportunity to make it back to Thurles in time for the evening game.
