GAA Team News: Injury concerns for Mayo

Updated: July 10, 2012

Mayo trio Seamus O’Shea, Aidan Campbell and Peadar Gardiner have not recovered in time to be considered for selection for next Sunday’s Connacht Senior Football Final against Sligo.

O’Shea has been struggling with as groin strain since March while Gardiner (foot) and Campbell (hip) all sat out last Sunday’s final ‘A’ vs ‘B’ trial game.

Aidan O’Shea and Chris Barrett are believed to be in contention for places as is Ballinrobe goalkeeper Kenneth O’Malley who has been called up to the panel in place of Robert Hennelly.

Connacht GAA officials are expecting a crowd of 20,000 people to attend the final at Hyde Park, Roscommon.
