Seanie Johnston’s much anticipated return to Cavan may not materialise. Kildare’s newest forward has not been named in the team for Sunday’s qualifier.
A 45 second spell in the Kildare hurling championship completed the former Cavan star’s move to Kildare and made him eligible for the Lilywhites.
However Johnston has picked up a shoulder injury and he may not recover in time to take his place in the much talked about Breffni Park encounter.
Kieran McGeeney has made two changes from the side that lost the Leinster semi final to Meath ten days ago. Andriú MacLochlainn comes in at corner back with Ollie Lyons dropping to the bench and Hugh McGrillen switches from the corner to wing back.
Pádraig O’Neill played at wing forward against Meath but his place on the team has been taken by Rob Kelly who comes into midfield.
