OCI to hear Caitriona Cuddihy’s appeal

Updated: July 13, 2012

Caitriona Cuddihy expects to hear today that the Olympic Council of Ireland will meet early next week to hear her appeal against deselection from the Irish Olympic Athletics team.

She was replaced by Ballymena’s Joanna Mills.

Athletics Ireland are understood to have now provided the O.C.I with all the information they requested earlier this week, when they sought assurances that all of the correct procedures had been followed by Athletics Ireland.

A formal O.C.I announcement is expected later today.
