The Godolphin operation has added another star colt to their ranks with the news that exciting German colt Energizer will now race for the boys in blue.
A son of Monson, Energizer made history at Royal Ascot last month when he became the first German based horse to land a victory at the prestigious meeting when he landed the Group 3 Tercentenary Stakes.
That victory alerted the attention of Godolphin who wasted no time in securing the horse, who will now be trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni.
Confirming the news Simon Crisford, racing manager to Godolphin, said: “Energizer won well at Royal Ascot and we very much liked what we saw.
“The owner was happy to sell, and a deal has been done. We will possibly aim Energizer at the Great Voltigeur, but above all he is very much a horse for next year.”
