Former Munster flanker Eoghan Grace becomes the latest player to sign for Connaught as they continue to rebuild for next season.
Waterford man Grace, who was a member of Ireland under 20 grand slam winning team of 2007, joins the West of Ireland side from Exeter chiefs and has signed a two year deal. Grace had previously played with Shannon where he won an AIL medal and has also represented Ireland at Rugby World cup 7’s.
Speaking on the Connaught rugby website, Grace said ““It’s a great opportunity to come back to Ireland and progress my career with Connacht Rugby, I’ve had a great chance in Exeter this season and have learned a lot from coaching staff there, but a move to Connacht is a positive step in my career and the chance to play with some of the lads and coaches who I played with at underage level at Ireland is just great.”
Eric Elwood was also delighted at the capture of Grace “We are also very excited about Eoghan joining us next year; he is a mobile, dynamic ball carrier and will make an excellent addition to our squad. Eoghan was part of the Ireland U20 squad in 2007 so we know what he is capable of and look forward to working with him.”
