Liverpool look set to sign Moroccan winger Oussama Assaidi after they reached an agreement with his club Heerenveen.
The 24-year-old still has to pass a medical but should that be completed without complication he will join fellow new signings Fabio Borini and Joe Allen in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
The former De Graafschap star joined Heerenveen in 2009 and has scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for the Dutch club.
Despite being eligible to play for Holland, Assaidi declared for his country of birth and has won 22 caps since making his international debut in February 2011.
Assaidi, linked with a move to Fulham earlier in the summer, was entering the final year of his contract and was also being chased by Spartak Moscow and Galatasaray.
Rodgers has also being linked with loan moves for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello and Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin while the club are also reportedly still in the hunt for Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey.
