The GAA and GPA have confirmed that they helped to arrange a meeting on Thursday night between officers of Fermanagh’s County Board and a number of players that have withdrawn their services from the county senior football panel.

The meeting was held under the terms of the Disputes Resolution protocols, outlined in the recent Recognition Agreement. The meeting is understood to have been beneficial to both sides and it dealt with a number of issues highlighted by both the players and the board.

A report on the meeting will be discussed by the Fermanagh Management Committee at its monthly meeting on next Monday night. As agreed by members who signed up to the new protocols, neither side can now comment on the dispute or last nights meeting until the Fermanagh board meet on Monday.
