Former Irish manager Eddie O’Sullivan is one of the names being linked to the job of Edinburgh coach for next season. Alan Gaffney and Laurie Fisher have also been mentioned as possibles. O’Sullivan is scheduled to be interviewed when he returns from the United States next month.
O’Sullivan is currently boss of the US national side but his contract is up at the finish of the World Cup and he may fancy a return to the European game. In his time as Irish coach, he overseed three Triple Crown wins and was relatively successful in the job.
Australian, Laurie Fisher has previous experience as Munster forwards coach, while fellow countryman Gaffney was head coach of the same side from 2002 to 2005.
While those three men are the front-runners for the position, Scottish Under-21 coach, Peter Wright and former Wasps director of rugby, Tony Hanks have also been linked with the role
