Andy Murray has confirmed that he has split from his coach, Alex Corretja and is currently on the lookout for a replacement.
The British player was keen to point out that the decision was a mutual one and said the Spaniard was a close friend and mentor. Corretja was only in the job as a part timer and will now seek other opportunities within the game.
Murray said: ”
“I’ve had a really good relationship with Alex over the past three years. I have learned so much from being around him and I want to thank him for his hard work, enthusiasm, dedication and support.
“He has been a great friend as well as a mentor to me and we’ve shared lots of success and good times both on and off the court”.
