Donegal, Tyrone and Warwickshire all ran out winners in yesterday’s Lory Meagher cup action.
Warwickshire were the day’s surprise outfit, securing a surprising away win against the Leitrim men. Both teams had come into the game on the back of disappointing results, but it was Warwickshire who gave their supporters something to cheer about come the final whistle.
Donegal meanwhile eased to another victory on their home turf beating Fermanagh by 13 points. Fermanagh weren’t in action last weekend due to the Cavan hurlers withdrawing from the 2011 season, but despite having fresh legs they couldn’t keep pace with a rampant Donegal side that ran out 3-18 to 2-8 winners.
Tyrone overcame Down in Omagh is a tightly contested affair with not a whole lot to separate the two sides Tyrone had recently beating Down in the final of the NHL Division 4 and they repeated that win scoring 2-14 to Down’s 1-9.
