Heineken cup finalists Leinster have boosted their ranks for the 2011/2012 season with the signing of Brive’s Damian Browne and Connacht winger Fionn Carr.
The arrival of 6ft 6″ Browne’s on a one year will soften the departure of Scot Nathan Hines who is leaving for Clermont. The 30 year who has also played for Northampton had been a key performer for Brive this season in the French top 14.
Former Leinster Academy graduate Carr meanwhile has also signed on a one year deal and returns to his roots as Connachts record try scorer with 34 tries in 72 caps for the West of Ireland side.
The club also announced that they had extended the deals of Richardt Strauss and Dominic Ryan. South African Strauss has signed on till 2013 while 21-year-old flanker Ryan has also agreed a new two year deal.
