Matt Williams linked with Narbonne

Former Leinster and Ulster coach Matt Williams look set to become director of rugby at French Rugby Pro D2 side Narbonne.

The 51 year who also managed the Ireland A team and Scottish rugby team in the early 2000′s has been out of work since he resigned from his role at Ravenhill in May 2009, however the Australian now looks set to make a return to coaching with the 2001 Challenge cup runners’ up.

Investment group FG Management have reportedly made a proposal to acquire Narbonne and should that prove succesful then Williams will become director of rugby at the club.

Former Connacht player Brian McGovern is currently on the books of Narbonne who sit 13th in the 16 team Rugby Pro D2 table having endured a difficult campaign winning 13 of their 29 matches to date.
