Ireland meets Team GB in Schwedt Oder

In a late change to the scheduled programme Ireland will now meet Great Britain this (Friday) evening in Schwedt Oder, Germany.

Ireland were due to meet Germany for the second time but instead that contest now goes ahead on Sunday.

The GB team, is like the Irish squad, taking part in Round Robin tournament with two German squads in Frankfurt Oder as part of their week long training camp.

Elite flyweight champion Michael Conlon will be the first of the strong Irish squad members ,in the ring when he opens against the 2009 European Union champion Thomas Stubbs.

Bout of the evening would appear to be that between Paulstown’s Darren O’Neill and Team GB’s Callum Smith.
