Offaly hurlers are facing a major injury crisis ahead of Sunday week’s Leinster Senior Hurling Championship opener against Dublin.
James Rigney is the latest player to be ruled out of the Croke Park clash, after he broke his arm for the second time in three months,while training with the county panel last weekend. Paul Cleary is already out with an achilles tendon injury and David Franks is also absent with a calf muscle problem. Joe Brady is recovering from a hip operation and will not resume training for some time,while Brendan Murphy has opted out this year.
Joe Bergin, Derek Molloy and Daniel Currams missed a challenge game against Limerick at the weekend due to various injuries, but Dooley is hopeful that they will be available to face Dublin.
