Dublin’s Championship hopes have received a boost with the news that Ross McConnell and Eamonn Fennell are set for a return to action following hip injuries.

Both players featured in the match against London club Parnell’s in Ruislip on Sunday as they stepped up their comebacks.

McConnell, who missed this year’s NFL championship hadn’t featured for Dublin since the All Ireland semi final defeat at the hands of Cork last year while Fennell played a minor role in this year league campaign.

McConnell will get another chance to increase his fitness when he turns out for his club St. Oliver Plunkett’s/Eoghan Ruadh when they face St. Jude’s ahead of Dublin’s Leinster SFC opener against either Longford or Laois on June 5.
