Sligo football boss Kevin Walsh must plan without the services of Keelan Cawley for the Yeats County’s All-Ireland SFC qualifier campaign as the defender is set to spend the summer in the United States.

The Coolera/Strandhill player, who captained Sligo to the Connacht U21FC title last year, graduated to the senior team this year and appeared as a late substitute in his sides shock defeat to Leitrim in the provincial championship last Sunday week.

With Sligo set to play in the first round of the qualifiers on June 25,the news comes as a bitter blow to Walsh and his management team.
