Four debutantes for Galway against Mayo

New Galway manager Tomás Ó Flatharta has included four debutantes for the Connacht GAA Football Championship semi-final match with Mayo on Sunday.

The Kerry native has promoted three players from the Galway U21 team that won the All-Ireland final in April against Cavan

Finian Hanley moves to midfield, Colin Forde is named at full back with Johnny Duane in the corner. One of the stars of the U21 win Mark Hehir starts at centre-forward for the Tribesmen.

In what has to be good news for Galway fans Michael Meehan is named on the bench.

Galway (SF v Mayo): A Faherty; A Burke, C Forde, J Duane; G O’Donnell, G Higgins, G Sice; J Bergin, F Hanley; O Concannon, M Hehir, G Bradshaw; P Joyce, P Conroy, C Bane.
