Murray & Nadal set for semi final showdown

Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal are set for a mouth watering semi final clash after both players came through their quarter final matches.

With Roger Federer suffering a shock defeat at the hands of Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the winner of this year’s Wimbledon tournament looks set to come from this showdown with Nadal the defending champion and Murray the great British hope.

Nadal set up a repeat of last year semi final, which he won, when he dispatched American Marty Fish in 4 sets. The world number one and top seed sealing a 6-3, 6-3, 5-7 6-4 win to reach his 16th semi final at a major tournament.

Murray meanwhile reached his third successive semi final at Wimbledon with a straight sets win over Spain’s Feliciano Lopez. The 4th seed won out 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 against the unseeded Lopez who knocked out Andy Roddick in the 3rd round.

Tsonga meanwhile will face Novak Djokovic in the other semi final after Djokovic beat Australian teenager Bernard Tomic
