Injured GAA player condition improving

Mark McGovern, the 22 year old GAA player who was left in a coma in America last week, is showing signs of improvements.

The Fermanagh native is said to responding well to treatment at San Francisco General Hospital with Doctors now more positive on his chances of recovery.

Police are still investigating the incident which led to McGovern suffering a serious head injury following an alleged clash with an opposing player during a club game last week.

Two witnesses, an umpire and one of Mr McGovern’s team-mates, have told police that they saw an opposing player stand over him as he lay on the ground will have live score updates on all GAA Championship matches over the summer.
