Super Rugby side Crusaders were forced to depart South Africa without lock Luke Romano.

The 25 year old featured from the bench as the Crusaders beat the Stormers 29-10 in their own backyard but was left behind as a precaution after contracting Chickenpox.

Chris Jack has been put on standby for the final against the Queensland Red’s although Coach Todd Blackadder is confident that Romano will take his place in the squad saying “He has not been cleared to play yet but we are hoping he will be right, He just stayed behind in the interests of public safety and we hope he will be able to fly over in the next couple of days.”

Sportsnewsireland.com will have live score updates on all GAA Championship matches over the summer.
