Ireland claim narrow win over Namibia

Ireland won a tough battle against Namibia in the first of two one day international’s in Stormont Belfast.

John Mooney’s 86 coupled with Niall O’Brien with 57 helped Ireland to a 26-run win over the African national in the ICC Intercontinental Cup one-day international.

Mooney, 8th on the list of Batsmen, scored his runs off 73 balls with nine fours and two sixes as the home side as Ireland recovered from 107 for 6 to finish on 241 all out with one ball remaining,

The visitors were bowled out for 215 in the penultimate over, Gerrie Snyman top scoring for the visitors with 60 as Alex Cusack claimed three for 29
