Liverpool appear to have given up on Serbian flop Milan Jovanovic as the club have told him that he is free to find a new club.
The 30 year old Serb international was signed on a free transfer by former manager Rafa Benitez last summer but failed to make the impact expected of him. He made just 10 apperances during his time at the club and confirmed the news that he is looking for a new club.
“I got the paper from Liverpool that I am free to search for a new club,” he told the Greek media.
“Up to now, I still haven’t received an official offer from Olympiakos, but I am looking forward to hearing their plans”.
Jovanovic could also have options back in Belgium, where he played before he joined Liverpool, with Anderlecht and Club Brugge keen. Two German clubs, Schalke and Stuttgart, have also been linked as they tried to sign him before his move to England.
