According to various newspaper reported in England Stoke City has entered the race for Manchester City outcast Craig Bellamy.

Roberto Mancini, who sent Bellamy to Cardiff on loan last season, is eager to offload the much travelled striker and could allow him to leave on a free transfer.

The 31 year old is on big wages at City, believed to be around the 90,000 pound mark and this is putting off interested clubs, amongst them Scottish side Celtic.

Those wages would prove less of a stumbling block if the striker was made available on a free transfer.

Tony Pulis is keen on the former Liverpool player and wants his experience to help his side as they embark on European football this season in the Europa league.

Everton, Blackburn and Sunderland are also monitoring developments.
