Sunderland has completed the signing of their second Irish international this summer with the capture of Manchester United’s John O’Shea.

Having already signed Keiren Westwood as well as O’Shea old Trafford colleague Wes Brown this summer, Steve Bruce has now completed the signing of O’Shea on a 4 year deal.

The 30 year old has arrived for a disclosed fee and is Bruce’s eight signing this summer.

Speaking about the move, a delighted O’Shea said Once I’d heard reports about the club and the people here, the ambitions and what the manager was all about, it was the only place I was going to come to.”
