Nottingham Forest defender Luke Chambers, who recently declared for the Republic of Ireland, is a summer transfer target for Reading.

The 25 year old has 12 months left on his current deal and rather than lose him for nothing next year Steve McLaren is willing to cash in at the right price.

Chambers was player of the year at the City Ground last season and according to Talksport radio Royals boss Brian McDermott has earmarked him and Paul McShane as the players he wants to replace Matthew Mills, who yesterday left the club for Leicester.

Sportsnewsireland.com will have live score updates on all GAA Championship matches over the summer.
