According to exclusive reports on Goal.com Real Madrid are lining up a sensational swap deal for Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez.

Jose Mourinho has sanctioned a move worth a total €56 million euro made up of €28 million cash plus either Gonzalo Higuain or Karim Benzema.

Talks between the two clubs are at an early stage but Mourinho is keen to re-unite Tevez with his former Manchester United colleague Ronaldo.

Benzema impressed for Madrid last season with 26 goals and has been linked with Manchester United in the past however Mourinho is not a fan of the French striker while Higuain also boasts an impressive scoring record but last season was blighted with a back injury that forced him to miss four months of the season.

Tevez last week announced his intention to quit Eastlands but any decision on a move is in the hands of Roberto Mancini, who had been keen on a swap with Inter Milan for Samuel Eto’o.
