According to reports in the Daily Star, Everton are lining up a swap deal that would see Aiden McGeady return to Britain and Diniyar Bilyaledinov make the move back to Russia.

David Moyes has long been linked with a move for the former Celtic winger, who has impressed since he made £9.5 million move to Spartak Moscow last August.

The 25 year old Republic of Ireland international is ‘believed’ to favour a move to Merseyside should Spartak decide to cash in.

McGeady has been a revelation in Russia and was recently linked with a 20 million euro move to Zenith St Petersburg.

Bilyaledinov meanwhile has struggled to hold down a regular spot since his arrival from Lokomotiv Moscow in a 10 million pound deal two years ago and Moyes would be willing to include the 26 year old to seal a deal.
