According to reports on the Independent Ipswich town website Doncaster Rovers are lining up a move for Dubliner Alan Quinn.

Rovers boss Sean O’Driscoll had held a long term interest in Quinn and tried to sign the former Sheffield United midfielder last year.

That move failed and Quinn eventually missed the whole of the season with a groin injury and subsequently failed to have his contract renewed at Portman road.

It could be a case of 2nd time lucky for O’Driscoll with Quinn now a free agent.

The 8 times capped Irish international, who joined Ipswich from Sheffield United in 2008, is currently training with Paul Jewell’s side as he bids to maintain his fitness.
