Manchester United’s Darron Gibson proposed move to Sunderland has broken down.
Last month Steve Bruce had offered Manchester United 12 million pounds for Wes Brown, John O’Shea and Gibson and while Brown and O’Shea have now completed their moves to the Stadium of Light, the move for Gibson looks set to fail with the club and player unable to agree financial terms.

According to the Daily Mail, the Derry born midfielder is said to be asking for 40,000 pounds a week, a sum Bruce is unwilling to pay and with the former Birmingham manager snapping up David Vaughan, his 9th signing of a busy summer, he is now happy with his midfield options.
