Eidur Gudjohnsen looks set to be next former Bolton player to make his way to Upton Park.

Fresh from bringing Sammy Lee, admittedly not a player under Allardyce at the Reebok, in as his assistant as well as running the rule over Joey O’Brien, the former Newcastle boss now looks set to add the 32 year old Icelandic international to his squad.

Gudjohnsen, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham, is a free agent after seeing out his contract with Stoke and has already undergone a medical with West Ham.

Gudjohnsen make his name at Bolton whom he joined from KR Reykjavik in 2008 before going onto play for Chelsea and Barcelona.

Sportsnewsireland.com will have live score updates on all GAA Championship matches over the summer.
