Having already snapped up British talents Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson as well as edging closer to a deal for Stewart Downing, Kenny Dalglish has now decided to do some shopping on the continent as he weights up a move for Barcelona attacker Jeffren.

The Spanish under-21 star was born in Venezuela and has been with Barcelona for 5 seasons but he has struggled to break into the starting line up and is ready to leave in search of first team football.

Barcelona are said to be willing to accept 7 million euro for the 23 year old and that has alerted Liverpool who are keen to boost their attacking options for the new season.

Jeffren was part of the Spanish under-21 side that recently claimed the European Championship in Denmark.
