Arsenal are close to their second signing of the summer after they agreed a fee with Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa for transfer of striker Joel Campbell.

Arsenal scout Richard Law is in Costa Rica this weekend holding talks over the 19-year-old, with fee just short of £1,00,000 been agreed.

Deportivo president Juan Carlos Rojas confirmed the deal on local radio station ADN Radio last night while the player’s father also revealed that he expected the transfer to go through before Monday.

The 19 year old recently started all three of Costa Rica’s group games at the Copa America and also represented the country at the Gold Cup earlier in the summer.
