Green Property Men’s Irish Open

A total of eight Irish players will feature in the main draw of the Green Property Men’s Irish Open $15,000 ITF Futures event which takes place at Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club.

 Wild cards were given by the tournament organisers to James Cluskey, John Morrissey and Ciaran Fitzgerald, whilst Mark Bowtell played through qualifying on Saturday and Sunday defeating Joe Mills (GBR) in straight sets in the final round of qualifying this afternoon 76(5) 76(4).

James McGee, Sam Barry, Barry King and Daniel Glancy were all automatic acceptances into main draw as a result of their ATP World rankings.

Tomorrows order of play commences at 11.00am with the lunchtime match (1.00pm) featuring Irish Davis Cup player James McGee against the British Stefan Sterland-Markovic.

In the evening match on Centre Court (5.30pm) Ciaran Fitzgerald faces another qualifier from Britain Keelan Oakley.

The Men’s Irish Open runs from the 18th – 23 rd July and admission is free each day.
