Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini confirmed on Monday that Carlos Tevez is to join Corinthians of Brazil.
The Premiership club rejected a £40million bid last week, but have now reached an agreement for the striker.
Speaking on the club’s pre-season tour of North America, Mancini told Sky Sports News: “We have an agreement with Corinthians but Carlos now is still a City player”.
Tevez’s advisor, Kia Joorabchian, revealed last week that a transfer to Corinthians was “close”, as the striker wanted to return to the club he played for between January 2005 and August 2006.
